What Lisa Maglio said
I understand when people say they want their Hacienda back. Right now we need money to just keep it open, keep it going, and keep the building from falling apart. So our contract with that outside service provider does make sense until we figure out what the heck to do with it.Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Mar 25, 2026Watch the full meeting from 2:59:03
Please, I have one question of staff, and it is my understanding from my review of the document that there is no intent to disturb any MOSO area space, and that WRT fully, um, understood and fully reviewed all of our MOSO regulations, documents, and that was a part of the process in providing us with the document.
Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Oct 28, 2026Watch the full meeting from 37:38I'm, um, can you describe, uh, for members of the community who may be watching this or, uh, have heard about it, let me put this in context. I think there are some in the community who are concerned that we're knocking down the Hacienda, and of course they don't want that to happen.
Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Jul 8, 2026Watch the full meeting from 1:25:50I would like to have a discussion, um, as a future agenda item or some special— in some special meeting or in some way to discuss, uh, the possibility of municipal branding. And that may go part and parcel with our discussion earlier with how we are going to move forward with economic development.
Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Jan 14, 2026Watch the full meeting from 3:50:08I think we have had over the last about a year and a half, sufficient public engagement, um, sufficient hearings. I see no compelling reason to have yet one more hearing.
Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Oct 28, 2026Watch the full meeting from 38:20I'll name one after you. As I think through this issue, I don't want to call it a problem. It is a very difficult issue. But it is one that for decades, decades, and decades the community has been dealing with, and it has been a desire for the community to have some kind of community indoor community center.
Lisa MaglioCouncilmember · Moraga Town Council · Mar 25, 2026Watch the full meeting from 2:54:35I think the language is designed to give us flexibility. I think it's important that we can remain nimble and be able to react quickly if necessary. And also be able to include all of the concerns of the 3 jurisdictions when it comes to a particular topic.
