What John McCormick said
There's a mandate coming down from California, presumably still will come down, about transitioning to zero emission vehicles for our garbage, recycling, and organics pickup. And you can't just— unlike automobiles, you can't— batteries just don't work because the weight is so much more that it just destroys destroys the roads.John McCormickCouncil Member · Lafayette City Council · Nov 12, 2024Watch the full meeting from 3:39:49

That's kind of the definition, right? Solar panels, satellite dish, you know, removable everything. I mean, that seems to be like the— versus something that actually integral to this, to the structure, like a penthouse or chimney, right?
John McCormickCouncil Member · Lafayette City Council · Nov 25, 2024Watch the full meeting from 4:12:52I do have another question. I mean, the— looking at the different water levels, can you just— maybe you know, or we can ask East Bay MUD, what is the state? I mean, how do you— I don't know, how do we evaluate what the normal depth of the reservoir is?
John McCormickCouncil Member · Lafayette City Council · Nov 25, 2024Watch the full meeting from 1:36:09What's your thought about the simplification or confusion of this thing where we're having to figure out canopy cover? Because the tool— like, I tried to use the tool myself and I could not, and I'm kind of computer literate. I could not figure out how to use computer— the tool.
John McCormickCouncil Member · Lafayette City Council · Nov 12, 2024Watch the full meeting from 1:30:46I think if, if you, if there's nothing required, then I think anybody could just say, oh yeah, that tree was in bad shape, I just got rid of it. And you can't— it feels like it does feel like you'd have to, you need some sort of guideline.
