Every meeting
252 recorded meetings from twelve bodies, 490 hours in session, and parts of 60 older school-board meetings.
The Orinda City Council's typical meeting runs 2 h 27 min in session.
How we know
Typical (median) time in session of each body's full meetings: first word to last, leaving out silences of 10 minutes or more. Bodies need 6 measured meetings. Bodies with close lengths could swap places; the ranks are 90% ranges from resampling meetings. More on how we count
Every meeting, by date
One dot per meeting; bigger dots ran longer. Hollow dots are older school-board meetings we have only in pieces. A gap means we have no video, not that the body skipped a month. 2 meetings with a date not yet confirmed are left off.
Off the chart: Lafayette Design Review Commission, Sep 29, 2021.
73% of the meetings we counted had at least one public commenter.
How we know
We count public commenters, never their names or words. Bodies need 6 or more counted meetings to be listed; each bar is the average per meeting, with its 90% range from resampling the body's meetings. We checked the count against a full read of null meetings: null were within one speaker. More on how we count

How we know
One meeting is one body on one day; a day posted as two videos counts once. Hours are time in session. The typical meeting is the median, shown once a body has 6 measured meetings. Members come from each body's own roster page. More on how we count
