Roads, storm drains and infrastructure repair
I agree, we have to finish this project, and I think that there are many homeowners who may be not aware of the storm drains that may be on or near their properties. And so having this information, I think, will make it much easier for everybody to understand whose responsibility different storm drain-related issues might be.Cara HoxieCouncilmember · Orinda City Council · Jan 20, 2026Watch the full meeting from 30:24

I think that's so hard. I think the pavement is the easier aspect. Aspect of it. It's the storm drains because they're under the roads generally or next to them. They're harder. When they back up, it's usually a crisis, right? Because someone's house is getting flooded.

I No, well, let me add one thing that, and again, you know, staff can, can provide you with a lot more detail. But again, remember, it's not that we don't take any of our road and infrastructure funding from our property taxes. We do.
